The division provides no-cost training to businesses under the Employment Training Panel Agreement (ETP), offers fee-based training to businesses on a wide variety of topics from technical to customer service, and has a robust continuing education program as part of Community Education.

Employment Training Panel (ETP)
The Employment Training Panel is a joint business-labor supported California state agency that provides funds to empower workers, promote businesses and advance the state’s economy. It was designed to fund training that meets the needs of employers for skilled workers and the need of workers for good, long-term jobs. The El Camino College Business Training Center has an agreement with the State of California Employment Training Panel to provide specific types of customized training at no cost to qualified employers throughout the state. Training topics range from business skills such as leadership and management development to manufacturing skills such as lean manufacturing.

Contract and Community Education is dedicated to working with local businesses and industry to advance the mission defined by the state and to increase the competitiveness and success of our local business and industry through high-quality effective training.
