Services

The Business Training Center (BTC), which is a part of the El Camino College Community Advancement Department, is the economic development arm of the college. Located off campus in the City of Hawthorne, the BTC provides a variety of services to help businesses and individuals. Its programs include:

Assistance for Manufacturers / Aerospace Companies
CACT (Center for Applied Competitive Technologies) helps manufacturing and aerospace companies become more productive. We offer expert consulting and training in manufacturing skills, continuous improvement, business skills and computer skills. We also provide Beverage Equipment Service Technician Training and Certification through the B.E.S.T. Program for the coffee industry.

Skills Assessments and Basic Education/ESL
Workplace Learning Resource Center (WpLRC) provides comprehensive programs of education and training designed for success in the workplace. In order to meet the ever-growing need for fundamental skills, our main focus is on providing employees with Basic Skills education in reading, writing and math and English as a Second Language (ESL).
